Molly Hicken
Molly Hicken serves as the elected county attorney for Cook County, Minnesota, a remote and rural county with a population of 5,300. Cook County lies on the north shore of Lake Superior and includes the international boundary with Canada.
Hicken has prosecuted crime for Cook County since 2007 and has served as the jurisdiction’s chief prosecutor and legal advisor since 2014. She is active on the Minnesota County Attorney’s Association as a member of the Board of Directors and incoming Treasurer for 2021, participates as the Governor’s appointed representative on the Community Competency Restoration Taskforce, and assisted current Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison as a member of his Transition Team.
